The 2025 Annual Meeting of the Professional Soil Scientists Association of California (PSSAC) was a joint effort with the California Forest Soils Council (CFSC), held June 5-8 in beautiful Mendocino County. The focus of the meeting was on the vast soil offerings of the area, including the Ecological Staircase, prescribed fire in coastal forests, climosequence of soil moisture and temperature regimes from coast to inland and ecological relationships, Willits Bypass Mitigation project and grazing, and more.
We reserved a campground at Mendocino Woodlands Camp Association and enjoyed dinners and socializing together on Friday and Saturday evenings.
A big thank you to all who participated in any way, and for all the efforts that came together to make the meeting great.
